Peristaltic metering pumps provide the most reliable means for injecting chemicals to oxidize manganese in "black water" for removal by filtration. Common oxidizers such as sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide and potassium permanganate can be accurately metered to oxidize the manganese into particulate for filtration after adequate contact time in a retention tank. In some cases, low levels of coagulant are fed to aid in precipitating the manganese. Oxidation of manganese requires longer contact time than sulfur and iron and is more effective at elevated pH levels.
Our Customers Say...
"I was very impressed with Stenner's commitment to invest the time and the expense to take care of the customer. For the Stenner Training Vehicle visit, we brought in all of our service technicians and about half grumbled about attending because they believed they knew everything about the product that they needed to know. The technicians were totally amazed at what they didn't know and we have gone from three to four callbacks to zero problems. I recently received a call from another pump manufacturer who wanted to send me a catalog and I told him not to bother."

Stenner's peristaltic adjustable pump can be wired to a well pump pressure switch and metered accordingly for accurate chemical feed. For precise chemical delivery the Stenner PCM system feeds precise dosages based on water volume regardless of the system flow rate. The PCM system consists of a fixed output pump, PCM, and water meter and is now available on a pre-assembled panel called the Proportional Injection System that conveniently mounts to the wall for timely installations and equipment accessibility.
There is a variety of Stenner models to choose from that provide a wide range of outputs for water treatment systems. The Stenner Pump Company also offers a pre-assembled Tank System consisting of a metering pump and solution tank.
