Coagulation

Stenner pumps are often used for injecting liquid alum, ferric chloride, synthetic organic polymers and other chemicals for coagulation and flocculation of suspended particles. The “floc” can then be removed from water by filtration or sedimentation.

Stenner's adjustable pump can be wired to a well pump pressure switch, circulation pump or control panel so that both pumps operate simultaneously. More commonly today, a dry contact water meter is used to activate the pump for proportional chemical feed or if a pump controls circuit is unavailable or impractical. The PCM metering system includes a fixed output pump, PCM and a water meter provides repeatable dosages based on water volume regardless of system flow rate. Alternatively, Stenner’s variable speed pump (SVP) accepts a 4-20mA signal to pace the pump making them ideal for the industrial user and municipal treatment plants.

There are several different Stenner models that provide a broad range of outputs for various size water systems. Stenner Pump Company also offers a tank system consisting of a metering pump and solution tank that is shipped pre-assembled for easy installation.
