Disinfection
Peristaltic metering pumps provide the most reliable means for injection of disinfectants such as chlorine to maintain biologically safe water in a water supply. Sodium Hypochlorite, commonly known as liquid bleach or liquid chlorine is the most popular form of chlorine used for disinfection of private water systems. It is easy to test for and maintain a residual level throughout the plumbing system and is relatively inexpensive. Common bleach can be used full strength or diluted with soft water to make a solution of suitable strength for maintaining the proper level of chlorine.
Our Customers Say…
“We have been selling Stenner pumps for a short period of time and the pumps we have sold, have been used to handle chemicals such as chlorine for water treatment. Stenner's peristaltic adjustable pump can be wired to the well pump pressure switch so that both pumps operate simultaneously for continuous chlorination. More commonly today, a dry contact water meter is used to activate the pump for proportional chemical feed. Stenner's proportional metering system provides repeatable dosages based on water volume regardless of system flow rate and consists of a Stenner fixed output pump, PCM, and water meter.
There are several different Stenner models that provide a broad range of outputs for various water systems, from the smallest domestic application to larger institutional and small municipal systems.
Stenner Pump Company also offers a tank system consisting of a metering pump and solution tank that is shipped pre-assembled for easy installation.
