Drain Field Maintenance
Septic drain fields often collect organic materials along with grease and fats which can prevent the liquid waste discharge from percolating through the distribution system and into the soil. The cost to repair a clogged drain field can be expensive. A popular and less expensive method is to treat this organic and grease build-up by injecting a liquid bacteria or enzyme into the drainage system which breaks down the organics and grease and renders it harmless. This is usually done on a regular interval basis which requires a metering pump with a timer.
