Restaurants, food processing facilities and commercial kitchens discharge grease, fats, and oils down drains and into a grease trap. It can be expensive to have this waste product pumped out and removed. A popular and less expensive method is to treat this grease build-up by injecting a liquid grease eating bacteria or enzyme into the drainage system which emulsify the grease and render it harmless. This has to be done at times of low or no discharge which requires a metering pump with a timer.
The Stenner BDF Peristaltic Pump is designed to inject liquid enzymes or bacteria on a 24-hour or
7-day event schedule. Inside the motor housing, a set of dip switches can be set to allow for proper injection rates at times when drain usage is minimal. Injection rates can be programmed for up to 21 ounces every hour if desired. Battery back-up is provided to maintain the time in event of a power outage. Available in 120V 60Hz.
