Peristaltic metering pumps provide a reliable means for injecting polyphosphate solutions to prevent corrosion and formation of scale on plumbing fixtures and water supply equipment. Polyphosphate can be used full strength or diluted with soft water to make a solution of suitable strength for desired residual.
The adjustable pump can be wired to a well pump pressure switch, circulation pump or control panel so that both pumps operate simultaneously for continuous polyphosphate injection in these applications.
A dry contact water meter can be used to activate the pump for proportional chemical feed if a pump control circuit is unavailable or impractical. Stenner's proportional metering system provides repeatable dosages based on water volume. The PCM system consists of a fixed output pump, PCM, and water meter and is now available on pre-assembled panel called the Proportional Injection System that conveniently mounts to the wall for timely installations and equipment accessibility.
Another option is the SVP variable speed pump which accepts a 4-20mA signal to pace the pump.
